If you want to create a tailor-made interior with an original decor, surfacings can provide ingenious solutions, enabling you to make your mark through an individual style of application.  Decorative surfacings are traditional coatings designed for walls with nuances in terms of both colour and relief.

Our aim is twofold: to supply high-performance products, and to make the application techniques accessible through training days.

We propose several types of decorative surfacing :

Lime-based surfacings

LIME
MA Tradition - MA Finition -
MA Badigeon

Lime is a generic term.  It covers a large number of products whose only common feature is that they are obtained by calcination, that is, the heating of limestone to high temperature.  Depending on the composition of the base material, aerial lime or hydraulic lime is obtained.  Quicklime is the name given to the crude material leaving the kiln.
Lime has very many uses.  Lime and gypsum formed the basis for producing mortar and surfacing in ancient times.  The earliest traces of the use of a binder obtained from rock-burning date back to the 6th millennium BC and were found in Turkey, on the Çatal Höyük site.  Later, with their expertise in the use of lime, the Romans became the founders of modern architecture.  Archaeologists have found that lime was used by numerous civilisations in every part of the world.
Whether applied as sponge-effect, stucco or whitewash, lime is essential in decorative surfacings.  It gives our walls warmth and relief, with unrivalled depth.

So, in producing lime surfacings as an authentic material for our walls, we are keeping closely to tradition.

MURALO
plaster surfacing
Muralo

Plaster is also part of our lives.  It is made from gypsum, a natural stone of the evaporite family, which are the most water-soluble sedimentary rocks.
Il s'agit d'une pierre naturelle qui appartient à la famille des évaporites qui sont les roches sédimentaires les plus solubles dans l'eau.
Plaster was first used in prehistoric times, when people realised that the white stones used to form the fireplace disintegrated due to the heat.  In ancient Egypt, plaster was used to assemble the stones of buildings.  The Romans used it for surfacing and sculpture.
In the 18th century Paris became the "city of plaster" because of its underground deposits.
In the 19th century, with the invention of the plaster kiln, production was greatly increased.
Like lime, plaster is a durable material.
This makes MURALO a very valuable surfacing for decoration, offering different effects and renderings from those of lime.
MURALO is easy to use and allows everyone to express their creativity.
